Something to Talk About...Update on School Finance  By Superintendent Westerberg

At each board meeting, Business Services Director Angie Manuel updates board members on the financial health of the school district, including enrollment figures and any updates on state aid changes.  These two items are incredibly important to track because of how they affect the district's available revenue.   Read more.

Big Lake High School Teachers Tell Students "They are the reason"
Teachers at Big Lake High School were given a challenge this trimester to tell a student who is important to them that he or she is the reason they go to work everyday.  The students' reactions were recorded and compiled into an eight-minute video that has gone viral on social media.  Read more.


6th Grade Math Masters Shine in Sauk Rapids

Congratulations to the Big Lake Sixth Grade Math Masters Teams on their great representation of Big Lake Middle School at the annual Math Masters competition in Sauk Rapids. Twenty students from Big Lake Middle school competed both individually and in teams against some of the top math students in the area. The Math Masters teams are coached by Ms. Hartel and Ms. Brust.
