Get to Know New Executive Director Katie Page
If you've ever been to the Habitat Cabarrus offices you've probably met Katie Page. She is one of those people you notice.  She's rather quiet but radiates a presence of calm competence.

She has served Habitat Cabarrus as the Resource Development Director for the past 3 years, but assumed the role of executive director on March 31, 2017, replacing former ED Dave Zablotny who will stay with Habitat in an advisory role through June.
St. Patrick's Day Event Raises Over $51,000
We had a great event at Great Wolf Lodge to raise money for Habitat! Everyone wore their green and it was a wonderful evening. Thank you again to Fifth Third Bank and all of our sponsors. Please visit our website and support these businesses that so generously support our cause.

See photos from our event on the Independent Tribune website.
Habitat Looks Back: Dedication #3
As we look back over 150 homes that we have built in Cabarrus County, we came across this photo from our 3rd dedication. Mike and Debbie closed on their house in January 1992 and paid off their mortgage in February 2012. Governor Jim Martin was on hand to celebrate their dedication.

This year, we are building our 150th home! Please consider supporting us in building our next 150 homes in Cabarrus County, by donating just $15 per month.
Thank You Collegiate Challenge Students
Thank you to the students from Waynesburg and Stockton Universities who spent their spring break with us! Thank you to these local businesses and organizations that are helping us with this year's Collegiate Challenge by providing for our collegiate volunteers: Calvary Lutheran, Central United Methodist Men, Chick-Fil-A, First Presbyterian Church, McGill Baptist, Presbyterian Men, St. James Lutheran Church, and Target.

Construction Update
New Homeowner: Askena
Askena is quiet. Though she is a woman of few words one should never underestimate her, because Askena is a Doer. On February 27, she moved into her Habitat home and will assume a 0% mortgage.

Home Dedication Planned: Odessa
One day Odessa Segers had a life, a plan, and a husband. The next day she was a widow without an income or a Plan B. Most people are working hard on Plan A. But what if Plan A goes south - what then? In April, Odessa will assume a 0% mortgage in her Habitat home and start a new chapter.

Home Build Underway: Jackie
150th House sponsored by Publix. Students from Collegiate Challenge raised the first wall of this home and then spent several weeks on the build site. We have also had volunteers from LeGrande and Disney work on this home alongside our homeowner Jackie and her daughter.
