Timothy D. Howard  1946 - 2017 
Timothy D. Howard, 70, of Ocala, FL, formerly of Medina and Wadsworth, passed away March 27, 2017, after a brief period of declining health.

Tim was born June 11, 1946, to Carroll "Blackie" and Katherine Howard in Barberton.   He graduated from Wadsworth High School in 1964.

He was married to Barbara (Hudec) White from 1967-1990, they have two children. She survives.

Tim proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1965-1971.   He began in the Army Reserves, until he was called to active duty in 1966.   He was a sergeant and fought in the Vietnam War with the 3/47 9th Infantry Division from 1966-1968.  He earned two Purple Hearts, a Medal of Commendation, and many other honors.  
He remained in the Reserves on standby until 1971.   The men he fought with became true brothers for the remainder of his life.   He enjoyed the reunions and visits with those men.

Tim worked in the construction and building trade his entire career, starting with his father and taking over the family business, H & H Builders in 1971.   He then taught carpentry at the Medina County Career Center in 1989.   Finally, he was the Medina County Building Inspector until he retired in 2008.

Tim followed his dream and moved to Florida after retirement.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Carroll "Blackie" and Katherine Howard.

He is survived by his children:  Michelle (Lee) King, Jeffery (Nicole) Howard and only grandchild, Raigan Lynne King.   In addition to his children, he is survived by his brothers, Vernon (Beva ) Howard, Craig Howard, and sister, Carol Howard.   Nieces and nephews: Jaime (Eric) Goodman, Matthew (Lindsey) Howard, Eric (Aeryn) Howard and Katey Howard.

Service will be April 10 at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home 174 N Lyman St, Wadsworth.   Calling hours will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.   Funeral service will be at 12:30 p.m. officiated by brother Vernon Howard.   Military Burial Honors will be at 2:30 p.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman.
