Thank You for Your Trust in Child Foundation!

Dear Friends,

Monday is tax day in the United States, and if you left your filing to the last minute and are unable to find your donation receipt from Child Foundation, don't worry! Just give us a call or send us an e-mail and we will gladly e-mail you another copy for all of your 2016 donations. Last year, more than 5,000 generous donors trusted us with their donations and on behalf of the thousands of children who benefited, we thank you all.

I also want to thank everyone who donated to our Nowruz campaign this year. It was the most successful March in Child Foundation's history with more than $340,000 in donations and sponsorship. Although I like to think the reason for such an increase in our donation is our good mission, our transparency and efficiency, but in fact, deep down I know it is your generosity, kindness and trust that help us to grow day by day. Please continue your support and help us even more by introducing Child Foundation to your friends and family who are interested in philanthropy and good work. We have already started working on our next exciting campaign to provide " 1000 Food Baskets for 1000 Families "; I will share details with you in our next newsletter.

Again, I'd like to thank everyone for their kindness and ask you to consider sponsoring a child or just donating to one of our humanitarian causes. Remember, Child Foundation has received 4 Stars from Charity Navigator, " 2017 Top-Rated " award from GreatNonprofits, and " Best" seal of approval from the Independent Charities of America for its efficiency and transparency.

Abbas Kiarostami Scholarship

Our Kiarostami Scholarship is going strong, and we have found sponsors for 80 of 100 students who needed help. Hopefully before April ends, we will have all of them sponsored. If you would like to be part of this educational movement, please choose any child in our sponsorship page you would like to sponsor.

Abbas Kiarostami was perhaps the most famous Iranian filmmaker whose artistic work started on the subject of children. Child Foundation, in honor of his work, has created Kiarostami's Educational Scholarship in collaboration with his family. We had started with 100 children in need who will receive this scholarship and we will continue to increase this number as more donors participate.

We hope that this scholarship program inspires students to follow in Abbas Kiarostami's footsteps.

Children Progress Reports

Twice a year, our sponsors receive a progress report about the child they are supporting. These personalized reports provide updated information about children's academic progress, their living conditions and any changes in their mental or physical health. Along with these reports, our sponsors receive an updated picture and a letter from their child.

Child Foundation has e-mailed most of its children's progress reports by March 15th, but less than ¼ of them are still waiting for children's school reports. As soon as we receive them, they will be sent to our sponsors, hopefully within the next two weeks.

Welcome New Sponsors, You are ALL Amazing!

During last two weeks, the following individuals have joined thousands of our sponsors who provide monthly assistance to children.

We sincerely welcome them and at the same time warn them to prepare for many years of enjoying the wonderful feelings of helping a child to achieve his/her dreams through education.

Hi, I'm Atefeh

I am 12 year-old from the city of Zabol. My parents are divorced and my mother has given up all of her dowry rights in order to get the custody of her children.

I have four sibling who are all student. We live in a remote village in a small rental place which has only one usable room.

We have limited furniture since my father has sold most of them before leaving us.

I love my school and my GPA is very perfect, but our life is hard and brutal!

Help  Syrian Refugees

The Syrian civil war has displaced millions of defenseless people into rough mountains and parched desert areas all over neighboring counties, as well as Europe, while in search of basic safety and simple shelter. The harrowing photographs of innocent children and frail men and women at their wit's end are heart-wrenching. We are asking you to help.

If the image of the little Syrian child washed ashore, innocent of the slightest wrong doing but victim to the senseless violence and the grueling flight of the refugee, made a mark on your conscience, then stand with us to help more like him from becoming casualties of war.

Child Foundation is helping Syrian refugees who are in Greek camps now. We need your help to continue these our services to children in need.

We invite you to join the caring community of people who step up to the call of humanity and help save lives across the world. These are the innocent causalities of ugly conflict, and they need your generosity to survive. Our next step depends on
your generosity.
