The AMTA had a conference in Long Beach in mid February, and they had many good programs on membrane technologies impacting RO and some case studies of desalination around the world. The Multi-State Salinity coalition held their summit at the beginning of March. The MSSC conference had some informative panels regarding salinity management issues for the south western states. An interesting technology by Enviro Water Minerals Company is being demonstrated at the El Paso BWRO facility to reduce brine disposal to less than 1%.
