Remembering Richard DeWitt
The ILS and the international law community lost an active member when
Richard DeWitt passed away Wednesday, March 29 from a heart attack. Richard was one of the founding members of the Miami International Arbitration Society. He helped MIAS and the many people dedicated to seeing Miami become the international arbitration capital it is today accomplish that goal. He was a tireless proponent of arbitration and mediation and a regular volunteer arbitrator at the VisMoot competition in Vienna, usually taking advantage of the event to spend time with his beloved wife Luba in their Bratislava apartment.
