Easter Blessings
Before leaving for Easter Break today, YC student's presented a live portrayal of the Stations of the Cross as we prepared for the passion of our Lord.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life.                                                                                                                                        ~John 3:16

Blessed Easter wishes to you and your family.

Tuition Assistance Deadline

If you plan to apply for tuition assistance for the 2017-18 school year, please be sure to do so no later than April 15.  Please click on the following documents for information and/or completion:
Parent Referral Program
If you know a friend, family member or anyone looking for a high-quality, Christ-centered education for their children who do not already attend a Catholic school, you could receive a $50 credit toward your child's tuition at York Catholic, with a chance to win a $500 credit.

York Catholic's Parent Referral Program is a win-win for everyone involved. Referred students receive an outstanding education from York Catholic, while parents of the referred families get peace of mind knowing their child is gaining so much more than just a top-notch education.  Families who refer someone who registers at York Catholic receive a $50 credit towards their child's tuition.

You, as parents, are our best ambassadors.   In order for the Parent Referral Program to be a success, we need information about individuals who may be interested in joining the York Catholic family. All you need to do is click here to fill out the form. During the registration process, if you are listed as the referring individual for a friend or other enrolling individual, we will credit your child 's account with $50.  In May, one family who referred someone who enrolled at YC will be randomly selected to win a $500 tuition credit.

It really is that simple. So go ahead. Please click on the link above and allow us the opportunity to do what we love - help to develop, nurture and encourage children so they may grow in faith, mind, and heart. Mail or email the form to us and we will take it from there!

Thank you for all you do for our school!
Spring Celebration
Please join us for the York Catholic Spring Celebration on Saturday, May 13, at the Country Club of York. Cocktails will be served at 6 PM, dinner at 7 PM, and a special program will be presented at 8 PM. Chaired by YC parents, Dean and Tricia Dominick, this year's event features a vast array of items on the silent auction tables, a live auction, and YC entertainment. A few sponsorship opportunities remain. Tickets are $100 per person. Event seating is limited so please RSVP by April 24. Net proceeds support the YC Annual Fund which benefits students and our school. To make reservations or ask event questions, please contact Alexandra Sterner, Annual Fund Manager, at 717-846-8871 x222 or [email protected] .
Earth Day Activities
The Stewards of the Earth club will host a variety of student activities to bring awareness to Earth Day during all lunch periods on Friday, April 21. Students can also support the environment by wearing a green shirt (for $1); all money collected goes towards the adoption of an animal.

The Stewards of the Earth Club and AMDG (All For the Glory of God) Club will be organizing a clean-up of the YC campus on Saturday, April 22, from 9-11 AM.  Come out to earn two hours of service to our school by walking the grounds to pick up trash and other refuse on our property.  Bring a good thick pair of gloves and a sturdy pair of boots.  Let's meet at the bus circle and clean up our little bit of earth, here at YC!
Spring Concerts

Instruments and voices come together as students perform at York Catholic's Spring Concerts.

The Senior High Concert on Sunday, April 30, at 6 PM will feature Concert Band, Concert Choir, and Jazz Band.

The Junior High Concert on Monday, May 1, at 7 PM will feature Junior High Chorus and Junior High Band.

Admission is free.  Please join us!  T hank you to everyone who donated to the music department this year.  Your donations have made this concert possible.

In Case You Missed It...
The seniors perform at their final YC Coffee House
The Senior High Coffee House was alive with talent last weekend!   32 students and 4 staff members performed in 27 acts with over 2.5 hours of music, poetry and comedy.  The talent of our students is simply incredible.

When Evan Pugh performed he spoke about how he performed in his first Coffee House in 8th grade, where he played the ukulele.  He has performed in every Coffee House since then (that makes 9 for Evan).  He spoke about how performing in a small venue gave him the courage to perform in larger ones.  He is now in a competitive drum corp and a punk rock band.

Mrs. Euclide said, "the Coffee House is one of the best parts of the YC school culture."

Many athletes came after their practices ended.  They were hot and tired and probably wanted a shower, but they came to support their friends and ended up staying for the rest of the evening.

Best of all, with the price of admission being a non-perishable food item, we had several boxes of food ready to donate to the Catholic Harvest Food Pantry.
