Edible Book Festival
Saturday, April 1
1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Join us in the Adult Reading Area!
Choose your favorite book, turn it into a creative or funny edible piece
of art and bring it into the library on Saturday before the festival
starts so that you can have it set up for voting.
Attendees will view each edible creation in relation to its
title reference and vote for their favorite entry.
Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 contestants!
(Creations will not be eaten at the conclusion of the festival.)
This event is free and open to the public.

Book Presentation:
Expect Great Things
by Kevin Dann

In honor of Henry Thoreau's 200th anniversary, historian and naturalist Dr. Kevin Dann is walking from New York City to Concord, Massachusetts. Performing Captain of a Huckleberry Party - his provocative celebration of Thoreau in riddle, rhyme, and story - in 13 towns along the way, he hopes to inspire a new generation of Americans to take up Thoreau's practice of enlivened observation of Nature and enlightened citizenship.
Historian, naturalist, and troubadour Dr. Kevin Dann is the author of ten books, including Bright Colors Falsely Seen: Synaesthesia and the Search for Transcendental Knowledge; Across the Great Border Fault: The Naturalist Myth in America; and Lewis Creek Lost and Found. He has taught at Rutgers University, University of Vermont, and SUNY. He wrote, produced, and acted in Brooklyn's first immersive street mystery, Enigma.

In this class you will create a new email account and learn the basics of how to use the email account.
Prerequisites to attend this workshop are a very basic working knowledge of computers. We also ask that you bring in a completed Prep-Sheet, which can be picked up at the Reference Desk or Printed by following the prompts here.
