Please place or amend your order by FRIDAY 12:00 noon

Dear ,

Happy renewal and resurrection season! We will be back in the kitchen on Tuesday, April 18th, creating meals and wholesome nourishment for all our body temples (including the Earth). To place an order, please reply to this email (without changing the subject line) and let us know what you want.

Orders and changes to your standing order are due on Fridays by noon. Often there is some leeway, so it's worth asking about the option to place a late order, if you miss the deadline.

We want to be sure that know, that after eleven years in the kitchen on Tuesdays, TOH will be changing to a Wednesday kitchen day starting in May! We will be moving into a beautiful new kitchen that is exclusively a gluten-free facility. Check out the In The Breadbox kitchen. The details of this change are in the works and will be shared as we know them. We hope to maintain as similar a flow as possible with pick up spots/timing. We are going to be adding an Aptos and a Watsonville pick up as well (available for an additional fee). Please let me know if you would be interested. Thanks for your continued support, patronage and encouragement.

Blessings,
Beth Freewomon

Nutritional Properties of Nettles

Nettles are high in calcium, iron, magnesium, chromium, potassium, and zinc, as well as vitamins A, B, C, D and K. Nettles are also rich in carotene and, of course, chlorophyll. With all that calcium and iron, they make an excellent food for vegans or vegetarians. Nettles are potent to support the body in minimizing allergic reactions They also contain protein.

Nettle Vinegar

The vinegar leaches the calcium and other minerals out of the Nettles, and then you can sprinkle the vinegar on salads and veggies and stir fry. This is very nourishing. You can even use this same vinegar when cooking greens like collards or kale, as the acidity of the vinegar (or lemon) again makes the minerals in the greens more bio-available.
