The way people currently think about and talk about aging prevents productive discussions on changes to policies, practices, and cultural norms. Based on empirical research, the FrameWorks Institute has developed comprehensive resources to help advocates reframe the conversation on aging.

Some key highlights from their work are:

• A call for justice beats a plea for sympathy: One of the most effective ways to build support for greater inclusion of older people is a reminder that a just society treats all members as equal participants.
• Names matter: Associations with current terms of reference like elderly, senior citizen, and older adults led to the recommendation that we shift to the term older people.
• A new metaphor dramatically shifts perceptions of aging: Comparing the process of aging to building momentum opens a new way to think and talk about aging-something counter to currently available cultural idioms such as "fighting" aging or the importance of "staying young." This metaphor reduced people's subconscious ageism by 30 per cent.

This webinar will illuminate ten signs that your social media strategy is current and best positioned to inspire donors and supporters to give and take action on your organization's behalf. The webinar will feature real-time examples of organizations that are:
