At the Adult Day Center (ADC), loved ones, including those with Alzheimer's disease and dementia, can spend an enjoyable day with our caring family. For caregivers, our program offers a much-needed break from daily caregiving stress and responsibilities.

Mark Your Calendar: On Saturday, May 20th, Laura Hawkins, Director of Program Outreach at Alzheimer's New Jersey, will present, "Communication Tips and Techniques in Alzheimer's Disease." New Art Therapy Program Benefits Members

Our newest, exciting program at our Adult Day Center. We are pleased to have The Center for Contemporary Art engage our members every month. Therapeutic art supports patients with cognitive decline to recall their life stories and maintain their sense of self through various art mediums. When combined with reminiscing, art therapy demonstrates that our members are able to express their feelings and share their stories in a colorful, creative manner.

Peapack Gladstone Bank volunteers joined us on March 30th
for a movie-themed program which included music, trivia and Bingo! 
        

Our March 8th, members had a great time socializing and Bingo playing with
volunteers from Fahey Realtors. Everyone enjoyed the delicious snacks!

Introducing "Baking with Nancy"

Each month, our members have an opportunity to get hands on involvement with baking. On an invitation from ADC Activity Manager, Nancy Ryerson, residents of Ridge Oak Senior Housing joined our members on St. Patrick's Day to bake Irish Soda Bread. The best part? Enjoying the delicious freshly baked bread!

Urinary tract infections, often referred to as UTI's, are the 2nd most common infection that leads to hospital admission in adults over age 65. Loss of bladder control, a weaker immune system, hospital and /or rehab stay are just a few of the factors that increase risk for older adults.
