FESTIVAL OF COLORS
Sat., April 29, 2017 at 2pm
For ages 7-13
with adult supervision
Get ready to get colorful!
Learn about the cultural
meaning of Holi.
Enjoy some treats and have fun with music and color play on the library's lawn.
This is a registration-required family event.
We suggest wearing white or bright clothes that you don't mind getting messy.
Note: Colors are organic, but may leave residue on the body and clothes.
Using skin cream will help prevent staining.

From
Caterpillar to Butterfly
Coming May 2017
Watch caterpillars morph
in the Children's Room.
Once butterflies, they will be released in the library's flower garden with a themed storytime to precede this event.
Program will last
approximately 3 weeks.
Date of caterpillars arrival depends on weather and availability.
Expect updates about this special program through future newsletters and social media.
The exact date/time of the butterflies release will be announced
a couple of days prior to the event.

Let's Go Fly a Kite
Tuesday, April 18th at 3:45 PM
For kindergarten to 2nd graders.
We will be using mailers, dowels, metallic foil, and ribbon to construct the kites.
1 parent/guardian per child must stay to assist in constructing a kite.
Weather permitting, try it out.

Beginning and fluent readers can make friends with well-behaved certified therapy dogs while practicing their reading and public speaking skills.
Important: Register for 1 session. Your ticket is needed to reserve you a spot within a 30 minute block. When you arrive, you will be asked to sign-in. First-come, first-served.

Weaving Workshop: Bohemian Wall Hangings
Thursday, May 11th from 3:45 PM to 5:45 PM
For 2nd to 5th graders
No experience necessary!
Learn to weave and create your own bohemian style wall hanging.
Project may exceed the two hours allotted. Kids will be allowed to take yarn home to finish this project.
