The College's third objective for CT2 is to prepare the 21st century employee.

96% - 100% - 100%

The average pass rates for our registered nursing, practical nursing and aviation maintenance students on their NCLEX and FAA licensing exams over the past three years. Our students' pass rates on these licensing exams are consistently above the national norms and exceed our target of 85% representing an outstanding achievement on the part of our graduates and their program faculty.

32%

The average percentage of technical and trades students enrolled each year that complete Associate of Applied Science, Certificate of Applied Science or Professional Certificates, exceeding the target for this indicator (25%). Another way to look at productivity in career and technical education (CTE) programs at Helena College is to measure the number of student completions per 100 full-time equivalent (FTE) enrollments, where the average for the past three years is about 43 completers/100 FTE. Currently the College offers 28 degrees and certificates in career and technical fields, and students in these programs account for about 30% of the institution's total enrollment.

73%

The percentage of 2014-2015 graduates in career and technical programs employed in Montana within one year in occupations related to their field of study, which fell just below the target of 75%.   The overall placement rate for these graduates was 88%. The Montana Department of Labor and Industry provides this information to the MUS by matching student records with payroll tax data, though in accordance with federal and state privacy laws, no personally identifiable information is reported. The average 1st year wage for graduates employed in their field of study was $30,436 with a range of $19,886 to $54,656.

As of fall 2016, Helena College achieved the minimum threshold for demonstrating mission fulfillment for this objective, with two out of three indicators meeting or exceeding their targets. (Current score= 4; minimum threshold score= 1.8)
