6:30pm Presentation by Meg Vermillon and Virge Temme, Climate Change Coalition of Door County
Meg Vermillion, of Ellison bay, has put personal conservation and environmental habits her priority for over 30 years. She describes it as a “conversion experience" after taking a six week Environmental class. A newer member of the Climate Change Coalition of Door County, she has realized that to seriously impact the changing climate, it will take more than individual effort. The time has come for the larger community of businesses, both small and large, to look at what they are already doing and to examine how can they increase that. While it is involving a new learning curve, Meg is pleased to be a part of this effort.
Architect Virge Temme of Sturgeon Bay has been designing environmentally sustainable buildings for nearly 25 years. She is a member of the steering committee for the Climate Change Coalition of Door County, and for the past ten years has been one of Wisconsin’s leading advocates for super-low energy homes. This past year she won international recognition as one of the “Leaders in Green Energy, Mid-West United States”
