Meet Amy Heneghan
The Positivi-tree
An Evergreen Tree is, by its nature, green, but this is by far the most colorful one we've found.
Colorful, because of paint swatches that now hang from its branches.
The Positivi-tree is located in Loomiller Park in Longmont, and on its branches, on the swatches, are positive messages.
Things like,
- I think that I will just be happy today.
- If you dream it you can do it.Make it a year of love and kindness.
- Dream big....sparkle more.
There's room for plenty more notes. If you find yourself in Longmont, stop by the tree.
Share your note with us!
The tags will be up through the end of May

Hello LAG Members:
I hope everyone is enjoying our spring weather and are getting inspired by all the flowers popping up and birds chirping their songs. I had a big smile on my face when I saw
the Osprey had returned to their nest on the very first day of spring! As artists, we
are so lucky to live in such a beautiful place, having such gorgeous nature all around us.
With that said, it's definitely time to get your paint brushes, pastels, clay, cameras, etc. in your hands, and get busy creating wonderful pieces for our upcoming June show! Let's enjoy the journey of producing great art to share with everyone. Get motivated, and most of all, have fun!

Acrylic & Multimedia Workshop
May 20,
10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
a workshop on
Layering a Landscape
using Acrylic and Multimedia techniques with
Nancy Champion.
We will be meeting at the Clover Building at the Boulder County Fairgrounds.
Last year we explored acrylic techniques, this time we will
Layer a Landscape
.
Nancy is a retired art teacher, on the LAG Board as Activity Meeting Director, and exhibits locally in the community. She enjoys the variety of gels and pastes and multi-media techniques that create a dimensional painting. She uses these multi-media techniques to layer a landscape. Acrylic painting's flexibility and fast drying time make it perfect for exploring texture and color.
If you are interested in joining us please contact Nan Sanford to register for the workshop.
