Judge Wade Kagarise
Candidate for Pennsylvania Superior Court

on Pleas since January 2014, presiding over hundreds of criminal, f
amily, and civil matters each year. Today, Judge Kagarise leads the Blair C
ounty Court's Mental Health Services Committee, aimed towards redesi
gning the standards for delivering needed mental health services for
eligible offenders. Wade Kagarise is now one of our endorsed Republican candidates for Pennsylvania Superior Court in 2017.
Judge Kagarise is a long-time resident of Holidaysburg, Pennsylvania. Wade is a longtime Rotarian and personally supports several community and service organizations. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves where he served as an infantryman. At the age of 19, Wade was elected GOP precinct committeeman, and later became the state chairman of the College Republicans of Pennsylvania. A loyal Republican, Wade also served as vice chairman and coordinator for numerous statewide campaigns.
His commitment to the Republican Party did not hinder his academic success. Judge Kagarise graduated with honors from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor's degree in criminology and then earned a juris doctorate from Widener University School of Law. Since 2009, Kagarise has been an adjunct professor in the Criminal Justice/Sociology Department of Saint Francis University, teaching courses in Criminal Law and the American Court System.
After law school, Judge Kagarise served as a prosecutor for over 15 years, and in 2006 was promoted to Chief Deputy District Attorney in the Blair County District Attorney's office; delivering thousands of convictions, including the successful prosecution of homicide and death penalty cases. Wade is licensed to practice law in the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the United States Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
A self-described originalist, Kagarise believes a judge should look to the Constitution and the law to determine legislative intent-not legislate from the bench. His dedication to these ideals earned him an appointment by Governor Tom Corbett to the legislative committee of the Conference of State Trial Judges. Make sure to vote for Judge Wade Kagarise in the Primary on May 16th, and then in the General Election on November 7th so that he may continue to serve Pennsylvania.

Position: Part Time / Unpaid. Compensation is available for travel.
The Republican Committee of Allegheny County is currently looking for motivated, politically interested individuals for internships. Initially, the position will require 15-20 hours a week. Certain weeks will require more time than others, depending on the political schedule. This is a great opportunity to build valuable campaign experience and establish long lasting relationships in the world of Pennsylvania politics.
Duties will include:
- Coordinating events

- Attending local events

Grassroots Tip
Three Ways We Can Help Republican Candidates
All committee members can do 3 simple things right now to help our Republican candidates get elected:
1. Display car bumper stickers prominently. If you don't want to put them on the bumper, then tape them to the inside of the driver's side back window or near the top or bottom of the rear window, making sure you do not obstruct your view.
2. Wear a candidate's badge when you are in public. This will increase name recognition and remind voters about the upcoming election.
3. Be familiar with the current issues so that when you talk to your friends and neighbors you can provide them with several, simple reasons why they should vote for the Republican candidates.
