On The Home Front
SEND OUT THANKS TODAY!   HB 270 – CONVERSION BACK TO TITLE WAS SIGNED BY THE GOVERNOR AND WILL BE EFFECTIVE JULY 2017!  

We had so much help from House and Senate Leadership as well as Committee members in both houses to get HB 270 signed into law. So please take a minute to send them a thank you. Write a note to your legislator and while you’re at it, right a thank you note to Representative DJ Johnson, the primary sponsor for HB 270. He did a great job making sure our bill passed.  His home address is:

Make sure you send a text, email or note today or next week if possible.  If mailing a thank you note, send it to the home address.  The 2017 Legislative Session ended last night at 11:54 p.m.  Home emails and addresses are the best way to communicate with your legislator at this point.  

To find home addresses and emails, go to www.lrc.ky.gov and click on “Who’s My Legislator?”  Once you type your address at the top of the page, it will find your district.  Click BESIDE the pointer and it will give you your legislators with contact information.

Special Legislative Session
Governor Bevin will be calling a Special Session on Tax Reform.  Betty Whittaker. KMHI, and Leigh Ann Thacker, Top Shelf Lobby, have already met with the Governor's Budget Director and Policy Advisor on the inequity of sales tax on manufactured housing.  We plan to be a very strong voice during the Tax Reform process to try hard to get sales tax relief for manufactured housing in Kentucky.  We will keep you posted and we may need your help once again with texts, phone calls, and emails.
