Julie Scelfo, Author of The Women Who Made New York, to visit Fredericksburg
Partnership with UMW's Program in Women's and Gender Studies brings author home
FREDERICKSBURG, VIRGINIA, March 31, 2017 - Fredericksburg native Julie Scelfo will discuss her book,  The Women Who Made New York an illustrated work featuring stories of remarkable New York City women, on Monday, April 10, 7 p.m., at Headquarters LibraryA Q&A session and book signing will follow.


Julie Scelfo is a frequent contributor to The New York Times, where her stories about how we live routinely top the Times' most e-mailed list. Prior to joining the Times in 2007, Scelfo was a correspondent at Newsweek, where she covered breaking news and wrote about society and human behavior. Her work has appeared in numerous publications, including Salon, O, The Oprah Magazine, Epicurious, and Time Out New York.

Central Rappahannock Regional Library is partnering with the University of Mary Washington's Program in Women's and Gender Studies for this event
