CHAMBER MEMBER E-NEWSLETTER

Ignore the Forecast...Spring is Coming!

We hope you all had a good winter and got to enjoy the snow.  Just a quick update to let you know what the Chamber is up to these days...

We have some major Summer marketing campaigns in the works to promote the area to families and those outdoorsy types who seem to like it here.

So far, ad campaigns are lined up for:
  • www.boston.com which receives over 20 million visits per year!
  • www.visitnewengland.com - 5 million plus website visits per year!
  • Year-round, we have ads on www.vermont.com which brings an average of about 100 clicks each month to the Burke Area website, www.burkevermont.com.
  • Print ads are scheduled for Vermont Life Magazine (circulation of over 50,000) and the Burlington International Airport Tourism Guide which is available throughout the airport, rest areas, hotels and other key downtown locations in Burlington.
  • Plans are in the works for more Coop Ads...details coming soon.
Ads link to or direct people to burkevermont.com where folks can learn more about the area including your business.

You can help amplify our marketing efforts by listing your business on Vermont.com via the FREE advertising option.  It's also free to post your events on many websites including:

www.vermont.com
www.vtsports.com

As a Chamber Member, you also get a 20-25% discount for Constant Contact E-Newsletter Services (the service we use to send e-newsletters like this).  CLICK HERE to learn more.  It's a great way to get your message out there and be able to track who's paying attention.

We continually promote the many offerings of the communities we serve via burkevermont.com , our facebook page, twitter page, and our monthly e-newsletter with a subscribership of both residents and out of state visitors.   Feel free to email us anytime and let us know about your events, business news or specials so that we can share it via one or more of these methods.  Take some time to check your listing on the website and email Laura with any updates or new photos.

And, SAVE THE DATE...
Thursday, May 4th, 6-8pm at Lyndon Outing Club...Burke, Lyndon, St J, and the NEK Chambers are uniting to host a meeting to help connect local businesses with some of the many Free & Low-Cost Business Resources available to help you grow your business.  More details coming soon so keep an eye on your inbox.

One of our most popular Membership Benefits is the heating fuel discount which helps members save an estimated $300 per year on home and business heating costs.  This year, a new company has teamed up with us to offer a fuel discount so you can choose between Amerigas, Irving Oil, or Bourne's Energy for your heating fuel needs.

We recognize that many of you cannot make our monthly meetings, but you can call or email the Chamber at any time or contact one of the Officers below with any ideas, questions or concerns.  We are here to listen to you and do our part to help your business and our communities prosper.

As always, your support is tremendously appreciated!

With many thanks,
Tim Tierney, President
Ron Groskopf, Vice President
Gail Weed, Treasurer
Linda Lotti, Secretary
Laura Malieswski, Chamber Administrator
