We can't believe it is April already! We hope that you enjoyed "Cuddle Up and Read" in March. Thank you for reading with your children and having them bring back their reading logs. We love talking to them about their favorite books! If you haven't returned a book log yet, please feel free to bring us one anytime.
April is a very busy month at the school. We have Spring Break beginning Friday, April 7. We return to school on Monday, April 17, the day after Easter. We wish all of you Easter blessings and hope that you take time to celebrate the season with your family. We have a variety of Easter services. Check out our Church Happenings for the most up to date service schedule.
Conferences will begin at the end of the month. The spring conference is when the teachers review the written evaluation. They are busy assessing in the classrooms before conference time. They assess both informally (watching the children during every day activities) and formally (using an assessment tool) to obtain the most accurate information about your child. During the conference, your child's teacher will discuss the evaluation and give you an opportunity to ask questions. It's the perfect time for you to learn more about your child's progress during the school year.
As April ends, the Auction will be right around the corner! Mark your calendar for Friday, May 5! Come and celebrate Cinco de Mayo with us and help us to raise money for our special programs/equipment and scholarship fund! Stay tuned for more information and details.
