Wearing Orange in Solidarity
Hicksville Middle School members wear orange in support of Human Rights Day
HCT members wore orange Friday, December 8th in support of Human Rights Day and to condemn violence against women and girls around the world. Many people have rallied behind the hashtag #MeToo, exposing the prevalence of sexual harassment and other forms of violence that women suffer every day. Breaking the silence is the first step to changing the culture of gender-based violence.

Your Union Working FOR You...Your Union Working WITH You
Periodically, and where appropriate, we will update our members in this section with regards to actions taken on behalf of our members including but not limited to  grievances and liaison meetings with central administration, keeping you apprised of the inner workings of the local. Additionally, we'll highlight the good union work our members do every day.
Boycott the Hilton Albany

Simply stated, when unions stand together against attacks, we ALL fair better. Click here to learn about the importance of boycotting the Hilton Albany. On the potential chopping block for these hardworking employees are retirement benefits, vacation benefits, loss of bereavement days, and the right to work a full day without fear of being sent home after just three hours by management.
An assault on one is an assault on all!
Help Brighten a Child's Holiday

The HCT is partnering with Theory of Arts and Sciences (TAS), a private art and tutoring center in Hicksville, to collect new and gently used arts and crafts supplies. We will donate these supplies to children at the NYU Winthrop Children's Medical Center.  Please consider donating to this worthy cause by giving the supplies to one of your building reps. Members of the ME Committee will collect and deliver supplies on December 21st

Any questions, or if you want to help, please email the HCT office at [email protected].
