Do you have news to share?
Please email pictures and information to us at [email protected] by noon on Thursday to be included in that week's newsletter.  Thank you!

We know our staff members are great, but here are some things you don't know.
This week featuring
Mrs. Hogan
(School Nurse)

1.) What is the last thing you ate?
I just ate a clementine. The last meal I had was snow crab legs at Red Lobster.  I love seafood and the best part is there is always room for chocolate later! (I am a chocoholic!!!)
2.)   Favorite TV show?
My favorite show is The Big Bang Theory.  It is funny, informative and the characters are all unique. (I can relate because I was/am a nerd too). My husband and children all watch it so I get to relive the comedy for days.
3.)  What inspires you?
My family is my inspiration. My husband for his work ethic-working long, hard hours and never complaining.  My Mom for her endless faith no matter what happens. My three children inspire me in so many ways. They bring out the most creative side of me. Small things they say spark ideas for birthday themes, holiday dinners, special scrapbooks, fun things to do together and all the personal touches that make life special and memorable. They inspire me to keep learning new things so I can keep up with them and to try to understand their careers.  Mostly they inspire me to be a good, loving, compassionate and happy person because that is what I want for them.
4.)   Who is the funniest person you know?
Anybody and anything after  9pm is funny.  When I get tired, all kinds of funny things pop into my head and I'll just start laughing out of the blue.  I laugh so hard I can't speak or catch my breath.  Don't ever tell me anything important after 9pm because I won't remember it. Sometimes I have to envision the calm serenity of the waves on the beach (my favorite place) to stop laughing so I can fall asleep.

December 15, 2017

"Blessed Virgin Mary, protect our families, so that they may always be united, and bless the upbringing of our children."

Dear Parents,

It was great to see all of you last evening as we presented our beautiful Christmas Pageant.  Mr. Patrie conducted the joyful singing of all of our students. Children acted as the Blessed Mother, St. Joseph, angels and shepherds. The result of all their work was a touching remembrance of the first Christmas day. We thank all the teachers and volunteers and children who helped to make our pageant such a success!

This past week we celebrated the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. She is a powerful symbol of devotion, identity and patriotism. This is also the second week of Advent and we continue to celebrate and await the coming of Jesus Christ.

We want to thank our sixth grade class and the parents that made our annual St. Nicholas Book Grab a success! Not only did the children enjoy receiving or exchanging books, they were also excited to share in our community school spirit.

A shout out to our JV boys' basketball team who traveled to Stamford on Sunday to play the JCC! Go Bulldogs!

The students at St. Aloysius School took a moment to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas spending their time and spirit with important people in their lives. The Mother/Daughter Holiday Tea was held at the historic New Canaan Country Club on Sunday afternoon. Dressed in their Sunday best, mothers, grandmothers, Godmothers, etc. were treated to a brunch that included tea sandwiches, hot cocoa/marshmallows, and nativity crafts and caroling!

God Bless You!
Mr. Bardhyl Gjoka
Principal
