April's Water Resources Advisory Commission Meeting Canceled
 
April's Project & Lands Committee Meeting will be Held

West Palm Beach, FL  - The South Florida Water Management District's (SFWMD) Water Resources Advisory Commission meeting, scheduled for April 6, 2017, at 9 a.m., has been  CANCELED . The Project & Lands Committee meeting, scheduled for April 12, 2017, at 9 a.m., will be an OFFSITE meeting showcasing the partnership between SFWMD and cattle lessees. P&L attendees will travel to several locations, including:
  • Brewer Cattle Company in St. Lucie County.
  • G-Canal Discharge Point to C-23 in Martin County.
  • Travis Brown Cattle Leasing Site in Martin County.
Additionally, SFWMD's Governing Board meeting remains scheduled for April 13, 2017, at 9 a.m. The next Audit & Finance Committee meeting will take place on May 4, 2017, at 4 p.m. Both meetings will be held at SFWMD's West Palm Beach headquarters.
 
About WRAC:
The Water Resources Advisory Commission (WRAC) is an advisory body to the SFWMD Governing Board and the South Florida Ecosystem Restoration Task Force. It is a forum for improving public participation and decision-making about water resource issues in South and Central Florida.
 
The Commission typically meets on the first Thursday of each month and holds special Issues workshops as needed. WRAC Recreational Issues Workshops are held once every quarter. Meetings are open to the public.
 
About P&L:
The Project & Lands Committee is comprised of six SFWMD Governing Board members. The committee provides a forum for in-depth technical reviews of upcoming and ongoing projects, as well as discussion of land management and real estate activities and policies. The committee chair provides a report of each meeting to the full Governing Board.
 
The Project & Lands Committee typically meets on the Wednesday before a full Governing Board meeting, unless otherwise announced. Meetings are open to the public.
