8th Grade Graduation Party Update
Thank you so much for the recent generous donations made by so many 8th grade families! As a reminder, the Grad Night Party is put on by the parents of the graduating students. It is NOT paid for by the school or PTO. The PTO simply acts as a "pass through" for funds, so that the committee doesn't have to open a bank account. If you haven't had a chance to donate, click here to do so now.

A very special Thank You to Sundance Steakhouse for offering to pay for the dance floor!  If you, or your company, would like to sponsor a specific portion of the event, there are several larger items available for sponsorship such as the DJ and entertainment booth(s). Please contact Cristy Barnes for more details.

8th Grade Grad Party Volunteers Needed
The 8th Grade Grad Party planning is well underway, but we are in need of extra hands to help us! If you or your spouse are skilled with a hammer, paintbrush or scissors, we are looking for volunteers to help construct props and other decorations. Some tasks may be completed on your own, but we also plan to schedule a couple of work days in March and April. If interested, please email Gina Skinner or Sonya Fletcher for more details. Please also keep a lookout in future newsletters for other volunteer requests. We hope to soon publish a wish list of items that we would love to borrow (or have donated!) from our parent community for this special party for the 8th graders.

6th & 7th Grade Parents - Save the Date!
It is a long standing Hillview tradition that following the graduation ceremony, all 8th graders head into a Grad Night party. The party takes place in the gym, which is transformed in the days prior, according to a surprise theme. To pull off this night for the graduates, we especially need the help of the 6th and 7th grade parents. Much of the final touches and food prep takes place while the 8th graders and their parents are attending the graduation ceremony. We will send out a sign up in the next few weeks, but please consider keeping the late afternoon or early evening of Friday, June 16, open, to help pay it forward by volunteering to help with the party and food set up. Please contact Beth Shvodian if you'd like to help out.

Re-Enrollment for 2017-18 begins April 18
To help our schools and district better plan and prepare for the upcoming 2017-18 school year, our annual re-enrollment process will begin April 18 and close on April 25.

On April 18, all parents of current K-7 grade students will receive their student's re-enrollment notification email. Parents will be asked to complete their student's re-enrollment no later than April 25. You always have the option of contacting our Registrar to update your enrollment status.

After April 28, parents who have not completed their student's re-enrollment will be required to schedule an appointment with the registrar to re-verify their student's information and to re-verify residency as part of completing their student's re-enrollment for the 2017-18 school year.

If you have any questions about this process, please contact the District at [email protected].
