Have you ever wanted to leverage your BBx® knowledge to implement the Model-view-controller (MVC) architecture to generate rich, content-driven web pages? Now you can!
You've probably heard of JavaServer Pages (JSP), a standard in today's Java stack for generating web pages. BASIS has introduced a new feature called BBJSP which is much like JSP. BBJSP closely follows the syntax of JSP so any developer with reasonable knowledge of the latter can quickly move into the former and your organization can take advantage of a widely understood framework. Many of the concepts will be familiar to PHP and ASP developers too.

Read these two articles to get more familiar with BBJSP:

"Getting Started with BBJSP - What is BBJSP and How to Use It"
"Contexts and BBJSP - Using Contexts to Build a Better Web App"

These two articles should get you started and whet your appetite for the next installment in our series. Keep an eye out for it in an upcoming Tech Spotlight.
Sincerely,
The Publications Team at BASIS International
