Peeps Contest
We are looking for creative Dover
residents, Dover students,
or Dover Public Library cardholders to enter our ninth annual "Peeps Show" Contest
April 3 - 16, 2017
. Build a diorama using Peeps of any color or species in a standard size shoe box. The theme is anything literary; recreate a scene from your favorite book, play, or poem. Winner in each age division
will receive a $25 Target gift card.

STEM Saturday
Kids in grades 3 and up are invited to join us for an afternoon of invention with MaKey Makeys at the Dover Public Library
on April 15 at 2pm. Makey Makeys encourage kids to find creative ways to interact with their computers by using everyday objects. Register at library.dover.nh.gov or call 516-6050.

15th Annual Poetry Contest
The Dover Public Library is pleased to announce the 15th Annual Dover Public Library Poetry contest for grades K-12. Prizes will be awarded in six different categories: Grades K-2, 3 & 4, 5 & 6, 7 & 8, 9 & 10, and 11 &12. Poems will be judged on originality, style and creativity.
Deadline for entry is April 19
th
.
Students may pick up information about the contest at the Dover Public Library, any Dover school library, or at our website at

Teddy Bear Sleepover
Your teddy bear (or other stuffed friend) is cordially invited to spend the night in the library! On
Monday, April 24 at 6:30
you and your stuffed friend will enjoy some stories, crafts, and a snack together. Settle your friend in for the night before you leave, and then pick him up in the children's room anytime after 12:00 pm the next day. You will get a picture showing how much fun your stuffed buddy had at the library. Don't forget to wear your pajamas too!!!

Save Dover from the Zombie Apocalypse!
Teens are invited to join us at the Dover Public Library on
Monday, April 24 at 6pm or Tuesday, April 25 at 2pm
for a zombie themed Escape Room! An Escape Room is an interactive game where participants work as a team to escape the locked room by cracking codes and solving puzzles. Registration is required. Please sign up at

Let's Play Outside
On
Tuesday, April 25 from 2pm to 4pm
run, jump, skip, and play! Join us on the front lawn of the library for some good old-fashioned outdoor fun. We will provide balls, jump ropes, hula hoops, and other toys. After playtime, enjoy a healthy snack. The program will be weather dependent, so please call the library if you have any questions.

BFG Escape Room
On Wednesday, April 26 at 3pm,
kids in grades 1 and up with an adult are challenged to help Sophie and the BFG free the Phizzwizards by working together to solve puzzles and crack codes. Sign-up is required for this event. Go to

Attention all Minecraft fans. Join us on
Thursday, April 27 from 2pm to 4pm
for crafts, activities and games. As an option, bring your device and share tips and tricks with other Minecraft enthusiasts.

Paws for Reading
Murphy, a certified therapy dog, and her handler, Karen, will be in the children's room on
Saturday, April 15 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am.
Murphy is a great listener and very patient with beginning readers.

Kids of all ages are invited to make a chickie craft at the Creation Station anytime during the
week of April 9 -15.
