March 30, 2017

As our Partners in Mission, you are invited for a night of dialogue and discussion prior to this year's junior-senior Prom.

On Thursday, April 6 at 7 p.m. in the CJ auditorium, we are hosting a Community Parent Night focused on keeping kids safe. Brian and Cindy Hoeflinger, who lost their son to underage drinking and driving, will share their story during the program.  There will also be a panel of speakers including Kate Huffman, administrative judge, Montgomery County Common Pleas Courts, and Steve Liptak, PsyD, clinical psychologist, who will give alternate perspectives on tough decisions that teenagers and parents face on a regular basis.

More information about this program can be found on cjeagles.org .

MINISTRY & SERVICE

From the Chaplain's Office
Over the past few weeks, we have held masses for each individual class (the Sophomore Mass is this Monday.) At each Mass, we have heard and reflected upon the story of Jesus' encounter of the woman at the well (Jn 4: 5-42). Pope Francis has challenged today's young people to create a "culture of encounter" in which they go beyond themselves to meet others. I invite you to ask your student how he or she has "encountered" someone during the week, following the example of Jesus.
