Lake County 2030 Vision Session

The South Lake Chamber is hosting an event for all Lake County Chambers. Please join us for a conversation on your community's future.

Florida will welcome an additional six million residents between now and 2030 - is Lake County prepared? You are invited to help plan the future of your region by joining us for the Lake County Florida 2030 Town Hall at the Clermont City Center on Friday, April 28, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., hosted by the Lake County Chamber Alliance.

The Florida Chamber Foundation's Florida 2030 research project is reaching all 67 counties in Florida through a series of interactive town hall events. This two-year initiative is engaging business and community leaders in identifying key trends and factors that drive regional economies.

Did you know the Chamber hires local caterers?

The Chamber pays the caterer for the food they provide, which is why we ask members to pay for breakfast.

Did you know that the caterer needs an accurate headcount for breakfast each month so they can provide enough food?

In order for the Chamber to get an accurate headcount, please pre-pay online, or at the Chamber with cash or check for all monthly breakfasts, beginning with the April breakfast. Everyone who pre-pays for breakfast will be giving a ticket at the door when they arrive. An Ambassador will be collecting the tickets at the beginning of the buffet line. The deadline to pre-pay for the April 21 breakfast is April 18.

If you would like to attend the breakfast and not eat, you are more than welcome to join us and drink coffee at no cost.

Did you know that you can pre-pay for all the breakfasts for the rest of the year?

You can save yourself the hassle of having to remember to pre-register and pre-pay each month, but pre-paying for the rest of the 2017 Monthly Chamber Breakfasts. All pre-paid members will be pre-registered by the Chamber staff. The cost is only $80, which is less than $10 a breakfast! Member Spotlight: Joy of Hearing Foundation

The Joy of Hearing Foundation is a newly established 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Clermont. Their mission is to provide quality hearing aids for children born with hearing loss, and to educate the child’s family on how to advocate for them both at home and at school.

Thirty percent of children with congenital hearing loss also have some form of a genetic syndrome which includes one or more additional illnesses, such as kidney disease. By providing support to families who must manage a plethora of medical conditions, the foundation hopes to alleviate at least some of the stress and pressure the disability carries. Read more . . .
