Sunday, March 19, 2017

Pictured: Barb Tryon, a member of A Patch of Lakeshore Quilt Guild. The Guild's biennial quilt show will be April 8-9 at the Manitowoc County Expo/Ice Center.
Hundreds of quilts and quilted items will be on display the weekend of April 8 and 9 at the Manitowoc Expo/Ice Center. This weekend is the biennial quilt show brought to you by A Patch of Lakeshore Quilt Guild of Manitowoc. The guild was established in 1993 and meets at 6:45 p.m. on the second Thursday of every month at the Manitowoc Senior Center.
This year's show, titled "FANtastic Quilts on the Lakeshore," will be presented from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. The quilts on display will vary from the traditional, featuring patterns that have been around for hundreds of years, to contemporary quilts with bold colors and unique blocks and arrangements.
All the quilts are made by members of A Patch of Lakeshore Quilt Guild, which has grown over the years from its original three members to a high of more than 100 members.  Read more.
