TACDL Members,

If you practice in the Murfreesboro Courts you don't want to miss our upcoming roundtable!

Please join us for the Murfreesboro Roundtable

April 6, 4:30 pm

Trey King , the busiest man in Rutherford County and Director of Damned Near Everything Court Related, has generously accepted  to join us and discuss the newly created Mental Health Court. This court has been needed for a long time, and Trey will give us valuable insight as to how this program will be utilized to help those otherwise most likely to be victimized by the system.

Thank you to Jack Mitchell for making all of this happen!

All The Wins
The TACDL list-serve is here to help you win cases!

Give Scott Kimberly a way to go!
Here is what he had to say about his epic win this week:
I settled what has been the most complex and difficult case of my career today. Indicted for First Degree and Solicitation to Commit First Degree. Ended up with a plea to Voluntary Manslaughter up a range. Could have ended better at trial. Could have ended much, much worse.

I just wanted to say thank you to this thread. I had so many issues I had never faced before and this thread was invaluable in helping me through this case. I truly appreciate everyone on here.

Recent TCDC attendee Sam Hudson gets a pat on the back too!
He got a not guilt verdict on a 2 day jury trial this week on charges of rape, incest and sexual assault.

TACDL members are winning cases!

Legislative Update

Thanks to Amanda Gentry for stepping up and helping out. She is the best.

We still have a few spots open so sign up here

Check out the Brief Bank section in the TACDL website to find the weekly legislative update.

The legislative committee is looking for TACDL members who would be willing to contact their elected officials about legislation that impacts the criminal justice community. If you would like to be involved send Tracey Hawk an email.
