FEATURED STONE OF THE MONTH:
Brown Petrified Wood
Taking over 240 million years to create this precious stone from Madagascar, this truly beautiful unique stone combines a variety of multicolored minerals. The rare specimens of petrified wood are blended together with magnificent ammonites and chambered nautilus.
This preserved wood goes through a process of petrification, turning wood into quartz crystal. The end result is a stone harder than steel. Some pieces of the petrified wood have retained the original cellular structure of the wood and the year rings can easily be seen.
The Brown Petrified Wood is only suitable for indoor applications and is only available in a very limited quantity.
