Continuing Competence Newsletter
Volume 2, Spring Issue March 2017
Each social work regulatory board has final authority in accepting any continuing education.
ASWB's Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program approves providers of social work continuing education. ASWB approves social work continuing education courses for the State of New Jersey. These approvals are separate processes.

Courses offered by ACE providers will not be accepted in New Jersey unless those courses have also been approved through the New Jersey CE course approval process.
NJ CAP Promotional Material Requirements
We have found, over time, that insufficient promotional material is often the reason that the course approval process is delayed. ASWB has developed a checklist  for ensuring your promotional materials meet NJ CAP standards. We encourage you to keep this checklist handy when designing your promotional material with NJ Course Approval in mind.

Click here for a more detailed checklist that outlines promotional and ALL other material required to be submitted with an application for course approval. Providers may also visit ASWB's NJ CE CAP website for applications and detailed program instructions.

Welcome to the Spring Issue of the ASWB Continuing Competence newsletter! You are receiving this because your organization participates in ASWB's ACE program or the New Jersey Course Approval Program (CAP).
We hope you find this newsletter helpful and we welcome your feedback! If there are topics you would like to see covered in upcoming newsletters, please let me know.
Please share this newsletter with other members of your team who would also benefit from this information.

Sincerely,
Lisa Casler Haun, LSW
Continuing Competence Coordinator
