Please begin to hold them in your prayers as they prepare for this holy time away.

Special Leadership Training Event
EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO ATTEND!

The church needs input, insights, information, and examples of how our culture is affecting church life in today's world. To better understand the changes occurring in our culture, and to better discern the exciting days ahead for us as a church family, Rev. Mark Tidsworth, author of the book, Shift: Three Big moves for the 21st Century Church, will lead our staff and church leaders through a SHIFT experience on Saturday, April 22. An invitation has been e-mailed to all ministry team and administrative committee leaders by Pastor Todd. We hope all leaders will plan to attend.

If you are not a leader, but are interested in participating in this event, please click here to contact Rev. Todd Davis, or call him at (864) 882-2603. Lunch will be provided. For the purpose of planning for lunch, it is important that you let Pastor Todd know that you are planning to attend.  If you plan to attend, a copy of Mark's book is available in the church office - at no cost. Plan to read the book before April 22.

If you need childcare, please click here to contact our Children's Minister, Lydia Dever by April 12.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION

Ann Hope Feeding Ministry
at Saint Mark

The Ann Hope Feeding Ministry at Saint Mark is seeking those who wish to serve a local, impoverished community. Sunday School classes, UMW Circles and small groups are encouraged to sign up to provide (purchase, cook and serve) a meal for about 120 people one Wednesday evening per year (on a first Wednesday of the month). We will need a total of 12 groups/teams!

We will provide the menu, with recipes as well as approximate cost. We will work with you to answer questions, familiarize you with the ministry and train you in Ann Hope's new kitchen.

Don't have a group to sign up with? Want to serve?  You are welcome, too! Interested groups and individuals, please click here to contact Cora Keese, or call her at (864) 324-2894 ASAP.  Thanks!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU,
THANK YOU!!!

"Thank you" to ALL who donated items, volunteered and shopped at our Wings for the Lord (VERY successful) Garage Sale. As of today, the total amount for this fundraiser is a whopping $6044. Wow, Saint Mark! You really came through!  The proceeds will go a long way to help cover the costs of the Wing's choir summer mission trip.

Order You Easter Calla Lily(s) Today
$5 per Lily

It is our Saint Mark tradition to adorn our worship spaces with Calla Lilies on Easter Sunday (April 16).  We invite you to purchase one (or more) Calla Lilies in honor, or in memory of family and loved ones.  Click here to place your order online.  Or fill out the printed form that will be in this week's worship bulletin.

We will need your order by Wednesday April 5

South Carolina Conference-Wide
Mission Initiatives

This year's conference-wide mission is to reduce homelessness in our state.  We are partnering with Homes of Hope to build 2 to 4 homes in the Greenville Area for homeless families.  Click here to learn more about Homes of Hope .

In the fall of 2016, the Saint Mark Council of Stewards made a commitment to help with this Conference Initiative in the amount of a gift of
$1000.00 .  If you would like to support Saint Mark's efforts to help reduce homelessness in this way, please make your check payable to Saint Mark UMC and mark the "for" line "Homes of Hope".  We will take our gift of $1000 (or more!) to the South Carolina Annual Conference June 4-8, 2017.

If we have more than $1000 donated for this effort, we will use any remaining funds to support Bikes for the World, another Conference mission to provide bicycles to children who cannot afford bikes, and to adults who need transportation.
Click here to learn more about Bikes for the World. Thank you, as always, for your generosity.
