The Resurrection and Mental Health
This past week, I read a story about how Prince Harry dealt with the grief surrounding his mother's passing. He was a twelve-year-old boy when his mother died in a horrible car accident. As a young boy, as a teenager, and as a young man, he buried his grief deep within. This led to many anger issues that he had to deal with. He sought help, and is now in a very good place. The interesting part for me was that boxing helped him in letting out that steam.

His story brings to mind the tragic death of an old man who was shot in Ohio. After shooting Mr. Goodwin, the murder suspect posted a picture of the horrific act on Facebook.  Read More from Manny...

Sustainability Tip
of the Week
A little girl on Easter told her mother that on Sunday everyone said, " Christ has rhythm. " She answered, " He has rhythm indeed! "
The Second Sunday of Easter:

" But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's own people, in order that you may proclaim the mighty acts of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. "

~ 1 Peter 2: 9

Thank You, Stewards!
The foundation of Christian stewardship is confidence that God is both creator and provider. Thus, God provides the things of abundant life. If we believe this article of faith, then we can trust and believe in God.  (Meditations from David Mosser)

PASTORAL CARE

Fellowship Hour After Sunday Worship
Please join us every Sunday morning after worship in the Dixon House from 11:45 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. for refreshments and fellowship with other parishioners and the clergy!

We Are Here For You
When a member of Saint Paul's needs support at a time of illness or loss or other difficulty,  the clergy are the principal people who visit and support and counsel. There are also other groups, made up of parishioners, who deliver help to parishioners-a friendly face, a Eucharistic visit, a cheery arrangement of flowers, or a delicious dinner for someone just home from the hospital.

Please let us know, if you -
~ Would like to place a name on the prayer list (We ask that you obtain permission from those you are commending to the prayer list)
~ Would like a visit from Cliff, Manny, or Rob
~ Have been admitted to the hospital
~ Would like communion delivered to you by a lay Eucharistic Minister

Everyone is invited to participate in these ministries, as well as to call upon Saint Paul's pastoral care resources as the need arises.   Please click {here}  for more information or you can  contact Virginia Emlen directly at 215.242.2055 (ext. 25) or email her at vemlen@stpaulschestnuthill.org and she  will alert the Clergy.
