Golf Tournament to Retire
After 15 successful years, the Annual Children's Cove Golf Tournament - held in Memory of Phil and Priscilla Rollins - will be retiring. The times spent and the support shown to Children's Cove through the tournament have been invaluable and made a significant difference in the lives of thousands of child victims and families on the Cape and Islands. Thank you to all who supported this event over the years.
Champions for Children Conference 2017
Save the date! After a 2016 hiatus, we are excited to announce the 16th annual Children's Cove Champions for Children Conference, which is scheduled for October 19 & 20, 2017. The day and a half conference is one of the premiere child maltreatment conferences in the country and will provide professionals in the field with extensive and innovative insight to assist child victims and families in their community. Our keynote speaker this year is Françoise Mathieu, M.Ed., CCC., RP. Françoise is a leader of Compassion Fatigue and Vicarious Trauma education in Canada and divides her time between public speaking engagements and working with organizations looking to train their teams about burnout, compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma, high stress workplaces, self-care and helper wellness. Our Champions for Children website with full details will be up soon, and we will send you a note when it is up!
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month
In honor of April as Child Abuse Prevention Month and Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Children's Cove has been busy in getting the word out to raise awareness! We have new radio ads out, are launching small family friendly ads in the Hyannis and Mashpee cinemas, are releasing an impact statement and more! In addition, our Teen Task Force is underway with their own Social Media awareness projects.

Additionally, we will be highlighting the amazing and evidence-based impactful work of the Children's Advocacy Centers (CACs) across the Commonwealth that serve child victims of sexual and severe physical abuse through a unique multidisciplinary approach. Representatives from CACs from throughout the state, including the Cove's Stacy Gallagher and Jacob Stapledon, will be going to the State House on April 26th to raise awareness with our legislators about the impact Child Sexual Abuse and Sexual Assault have in the Commonwealth and how CACs make a difference.
