The Paulist Motherhouse, located at West 59th Street in New York City, is the home of 26 Paulist Fathers, including their presidential board; the pastor and associate pastors of the Church of St. Paul the Apostle; multiple mission preachers; many senior Paulists (the oldest of whom is 96!); and five Oblate Sisters of Jesus the Priest, an order of women religious who pray for vocations and assist priests and seminarians.

The Motherhouse also is the headquarters of the Paulist media ministry Busted Halo; their Vocations Office; their Office of Mission Advancement; and the office of Openings, a ministry to visual artists.

 

Due to the failure of the gas heating system in the Motherhouse, Paulist President Fr. Eric Andrews launched a special  fundraising campaign to benefit the needed critical repairs.   While electric heat is temporarily being used, the permanent solution is costly, and the Paulists are spending over $150,000 on this project.
