Austria is also at the forefront in design and creating unique architectural marvels around the world. Last month Australia and Austria have come yet another step closer when Coop Himmelb(l)au, one of the world's most innovative design architects established an office in Melbourne. It is bound to add more architectural spectacles to the Australian infrastructure landscape.
While Australia is experiencing a slight cooling down period in the construction sector, nothing is slowing down the excitement around using timber in mainstream construction. Austria's very own CLT- cross laminated timber is continuously being showcased in major projects around Australia from suburban schools to major office buildings.
Also, last month we were joined by Meghna John, our new industry expert for the Construction sector. We are glad to have her skills and experience on board to head start another year placing construction as one our focal points and Australian-Austrian cooperation in this sector also in the upcoming year.
