Is it spring yet? It's felt more like April than February this last month. Thankfully we have a well rounded schedule of events in the Cutural District for the month ahead to keep you busy until it's truly spring!

This time of year we all could use some laughs so we're hoping the Natick Center Associates Annual Fundraiser will help liven things up on Sunday, March 19th when comedian Jimmy Tingle comes to town!
Jimmy Tingle is a comedian, commentator, activist and entrepreneur. He has worked as a humorist and commentator for “60 Minutes II” and MSNBC and has appeared on “The Tonight Show,” CNN, “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” “Fresh Air” with Terry Gross and in his own HBO half-hour comedy special. The fundraiser is open to the public and will be held at the Dolphin Seafood Restaurant beginning at 6:00 pm with hors d’oeuvres. Jimmy’s performance will begin at 7:00 pm, followed by a dessert buffet.

We have a bevy of talented artist's in town and many opportunities to view their work in Natick throughout the month of March.
The Frame Shop and Gallery is featuring artist Nancy Howell in their gallery through the end of March. Visit her beautiful floral paintings and landscapes at 5 N. Main St. during store hours; Tu, Wed., Fri. 9:30-5:30 pm, Thurs. 9:30-7:00 pm and Sat., 9:30-4:00 pm.
The Natick Community Organic Farm will host the talented artists, from Full Circle Arts with eco-friendly artwork and other creative products made by adults with disabilities. The farm is open daily for you to stop by and see their hand-crafted items.
The fine photography by Virge Lorents will be at the Natick Community-Senior Center March through the end of April.
Town Hall will host the work of Brad Millman who will be exhibiting a whole new series of photos for March and April.

April 23rd from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm, on the Natick Common, will be Natick's Earth Day Festival. Join us as we come together as a community to celebrate the Earth and learn how you can be a part of preserving it. There will be activities for kids, live music, vendors, food and demonstrations.

March Highlights in the District

Prometheus Dance - Dig Mine Excavate March 24 & 25th, 8:00 pm - A concert of repertory dance with guest choreographer Korhan Basaran and guest artists, Kurt Douglas and Ruka White. NatickImprov - Comedy Fundraiser March 10th, 7:30 pm - NatickImprov will be bringing you a special comedy show to benefit Family Promise Metrowest. Performance will be held at the Common Street Community Center, suggested donation $10 at the door.
TCAN Players - Enchanted April March 3-12th - This delightful romantic comedy, based on the novel of the same name, is set in 1922 and tells the story of two bored London housewives who plan an escape to the Mediterranean and recruit two upper-class women (and relative strangers) to split the cost of a rented villa with them. Sparks fly between the very different personalities, but among the wisteria blossoms, the women rediscover themselves and their marriages along the way. Tickets HERE!
Morse Institute Library - Concert: Jacqueline Schwab & Emily O'Brien March 19th, 3:00 - 4:15 pm - Jacqueline Schwab, piano and Emily O'Brien, recorder, will perform a mixture of classical music and improvised arrangements of traditional music and other pieces working with the musical style.
Natick Historical Society - “The Boston Marathon: History by the Mile.” March 29th, 6:30 pm Presented by Massachusetts jogger and journalist Paul Clerici at the First Congregational Church. Please bring along a $5 donation to support operations of the historical society.

As part of our expanding program to the community the Natick Center Cultural District announces, Multi-Cultural Day, a new event that will take place on August 26th from 12:00–3:00 pm on Natick Common.
This event will celebrate the various food, music and cultures found within the different ethnicities in our community.
