Explore Your Export Potential

In partnership with JPMorgan Chase,  Metro Chicago Exports  helps companies expand to new markets and find new customers the world over. In 2015 and 2016, 104 local companies were awarded grants of up to $5,000 to help  offset costs  for airfare, trade shows, marketing campaigns and materials, web-site optimization and translation. The 2017 grant program will open for applications on April 10 on their revamped website: www.MetroChicagoExports.com.

Thanks to CMMC and Metro Chicago Exports (MCE), Atlas Tools Chief Alignment Officer Zach Mottl said they are moving from  "a reactionary exporter to a proactive exporter with the help of MCE's   Exporting grants  and  ExporTech  programs."

Start Planning for Manufacturing Day 2017!

Leyden High School students participate in
MFG Day 2016
This year, we will celebrate  Manufacturing Day (MFG Day) on October 6, 2017 . MFG Day has grown each year and we hope to surpass the 55 events hosted in the region last year.

It's not too early to start planning how you can host a Manufacturing Day event!  Many firms open their doors to middle and high school students to introduce them to careers in manufacturing. Community colleges organize tours of their facilities and programs, while some high schools hold robotics competitions. These are just some of the ways we can promote careers in manufacturing together!

All of October is Manufacturing Month so if October 6 doesn't work for you, choose any other day in the month! We believe everyday should be manufacturing day so if you are interested in highlighting careers in manufacturing to high school students throughout the year, contact us and we can help you get started
