The inaugural Master Woodland Owner class began in May 2016 with a focus on woodland owners in southeastern Minnesota. Comprised of woodland owners representing nearly 300 acres in total, the Big Woods, Big Rivers class is learning the ins and outs of woodland stewardship across the eastern broadleaf forest. Save the date! Gathering Partners conference

Mark your calendars and plan to join us for this year's Gathering Partners of Natural Resources conference! From May 19-21, 2017, people from all over the state will convene at the University of Minnesota's St. Paul Campus. New Master Woodland Owner Class Starting in February

While the inaugural class of our new Master Woodland Owner program has been humming along, we've been quietly working away at planning new cohorts to offer around the state. We're pleased as punch to announce that our second offering is almost ready!  Opening soon, the Laurentian cohort will focus on private forest management for folks living near or interested in Minnesota's North Woods. Three face-to-face meetings will take place during the course of the year, and all will take place at or near the Laurentian Environmental Center in Britt, MN. More details will be released soon, including cost and registration.
