Celebrate Raw Milk Cheese Appreciation Day, the
third annual global celebration for raw milk cheeses, at Oxbow Cheese and Wine Merchant this Saturday. Coordinated by the folks at Old Ways Cheese Coalition, the celebration started as a way to help bring understanding and awareness to consumers of the traditional methods of cheese and food making.

Gott's has brought back its popular chicken tortilla soup and Mexican street corn this month, as well as the Cubano, a pressed sandwich made with Niman Ranch ham, house-roasted pork loin, pepperoncini, pickles, Swiss cheese, mayo and spicy brown mustard. For dessert, try the Horchata shake made with Three Twins organic cinnamon ice cream hand-spun with organic almond milk.

Mexican wedding cookies or "Biscochitos" as they are known in Mexico are a favorite cookie that C CASA has added to its menu of sweet treats. The crunchy buttery balls are completely addictive and guaranteed to satisfy a craving for something a little sweet after a C CASA taco or enchilada.

Cate & Co. has taken its Meyer lemon tea bread recipe and given it a twist inspired by its sister restaurant C CASA. Lime and tequila, the flavors of the margarita, also make a fantastic tequila and lime tea bread. It's never too early to start planning for Cinco de Mayo and this would make a nice finale to your celebration.

CRU @ THE ANNEX VINEYARD 29 WINE HAS MINIMAL IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT
Vineyard 29 utilizes special Capstone micro-turbines to generate electricity on site, and in the process derives all the hot and cold water used in the facility as a byproduct, while producing one tenth of the emissions of typical utility power. Overall their winery is 250 percent more efficient in use of natural resources than a typical grid power winery. Additionally, Vineyard 29 has its own underground wells and septic system so that all the water uses is sourced, used and treated on site, minimizing the impact on the environment.
