A note from the Executive Director ...
Friends,

If you read Camp Stevens newsletters or have heard me preach on a church visit, you know of my adoration for Mary Oliver's poetry. Oliver is an observer of the world and she writes about the ordinary things of life, naming that which is beautiful and that which is terrible: her embrace of all that is is an inspiration to me.

It is in this spirit of embrace that I write to tell you that my family and I will be moving to Ohio in the coming months. My husband, Mitch, has been called to be an associate at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Cincinnati. This is certainly exciting, but also hard news for me to share. In some respects, I have just gotten started at Camp Stevens! However, the desire to find a place where my whole family might thrive is palpable, and so we will be off to new adventures.

Camp Stevens has changed me, and I anticipate the ways that is true will only become more clear in the coming weeks and months. At this point, it looks like my boys and I will be at camp through March. Camp Stevens Advisory Board and the staff will share transition updates as they are known.

"You can have the other words," Oliver writes, "- chance, luck, coincidence, serendipity. I'll take grace. I don't know what it is exactly, but I'll take it."

With deepest gratitude,
Beth Bojarski
