Student leaders at Falcon Pass Elementary helped host a Candidates Forum with the Clear Creek Community Council of PTAs and C.A.S.E. for Gifted Children for the Clear Creek ISD Board of Trustees District 3 position. The students in the "Leader in Me" program at the school introduced Ken Baliker (incumbent) and Arturo Sanchez and assisted with the question and answer session. 
CONGRESSIONAL ART WINNER
Each year, congressional districts across the nation host a Congressional Art Contest for students.  Dominic Nguyen from Clear Creek High School took first place through the Office of U.S. Representative Brian Babin  for his painting of the Battleship Texas, which will now be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for an entire year.

DANCING QUEENS AT MOSSMAN
Dance teams aren't just for high schools anymore. About 50 students in grades 3-5 at Mossman Elementary formed a team this year with the help of 4th grade teacher Tricia Robertson. The group has achieved a lot together already, including  supporting their fellow Knights in the Clear Falls High School Homecoming Parade, showing off their moves at Mossman Character Rallies and CCISD's Intermediate Cheer Showcase, performing in the Halftime Extravaganza at the Houston Rockets basketball game, and also becoming the Regional and National Champions at the Crowd Pleasers Dance Competition. The team is supported through Mossman families and local businesses.
SAILING THROUGH THE WETLANDS
Ferguson Elementary fifth graders took a field trip to the Wetlands at the Education Village. With the assistance of students from Clear Fall High School, the students had a terrific time participating in many hands-on activities, such as dip-netting for aquatic insects, leaf rubbing, cast netting, and searching for wetland plants.

CLEAR SPRINGS IS LIGHTING IT UP BLUE
Clear Springs High School is "Lighting It Up Blue" for the month of April in support of  Autism Awareness Month . The Clear Springs Alternative Academics students, faculty and staff are promoting autism awareness by joining the Autism Speaks Light It Up Blue campaign by lighting up the Charger horse outside the school each day
