On April 25, the legislature will take up debate on the state's budget.
To help you better understand the state budget, OpenSky Policy Institute is planning two budget briefing sessions - one in Omaha, one in Lincoln - to share information about Nebraska's two-year, $8.9 billion budget bill.
The Omaha briefing will be Monday, April 24 at 3 pm in the Andersen Hospitality Room at the University of Omaha Nebraska Thompson Alumni Center (6705 Dodge St). Parking is available onsite. This session will feature a briefing from OpenSky staff members.
The Lincoln briefing will be Thursday, April 27 at 8 am in the downstairs conference room of the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska Lincoln Office (1233 Lincoln Mall). Parking is available at Trinity Lutheran Church (724 S. 12th St). The Lincoln briefing will feature a discussion about the state budget with Appropriations Chair Sen. John Stinner.
