SNOW INFO YOU SHOULD KNOW

In Columbia, if you have a sidewalk in front of, alongside of, or behind your property, you are responsible for snow removal from those sidewalks that are adjacent to your property.

A reminder from the County:  "It is the duty and obligation of the owner of property abutting a sidewalk in a public right of way to remove snow from the sidewalk within 48 hours after the snow has fallen." [Howard County Code, Section 18.402(h)].

Covenant News and Notes

The Harper's Choice Architectural Committee (AC), made up of dedicated resident volunteers, completed site visits and reviewed over 200 applications for exterior changes in 2016.  Harper's Choice residents were very busy this year making improvements to their property, often in response to our Property Standards Evaluation (PSE) program, undertaken with grant money provided by the Columbia Association and requested by your Village Board.

On behalf of the AC and Village Board, we would like to thank all of the residents who routinely maintain their property and those who responded to our requests for additional maintenance and repairs.  We still have much work to be done, and we will be following up with those properties who need some additional time or attention once the weather turns favorable again in the spring.

There is one final AC meeting on December 27th.
The deadline for submissions is this Friday, December 16.
