Sandy Shores Resort

Development Updates:

1) SaskPower subcontactor has completed installation of the underground power lines. Spring clean-up from SaskPower work will begin immediately.

2) Water Update. Plans are underway for a Water Treatment Plan. Several conditions are needed in order to proceed:

Agreements and Permits: RM of Coteau, Ministry of Ag, Macrorie Irrigation District, WSA and more. These are in progress.
40 Lot Owners. In order to share the operational costs, this target was established
A contract was signed with Acadia Construction to install the pipe to each lot. This work will begin in April 2017 and is expected to conclude in July 2017
The engineering work by KGS is ongoing. A plan for location of the water lines is not finalized. It will be emailed to the lot owners when it is complete.

4) Marina, Environmental Reserves, Beaches. WSA has verbally stated that approvals are in progress and no concerns with proceeding have been noted. However, written permits have not yet been issued. I am working on it!

5) PST: The provincial budget was released in March. It included PST updates. My accountant provided advice that land improvements would be subject to PST. i.e. roads and underground power. It has now been clarified that PST will not be charged on lot sales. However, all infrastructure such as water lines, Water Treatment Plant, roads, etc. are now subject to PST. Spring lot price adjustments were already planned and will take effect shortly.

6) Celebrate with us! 2017 is the 150th Anniversary of Parks Canada, the 50th Anniversary of Gardiner Dam, and the 1st Anniversary of Sandy Shores Resort. More details to come.
