FROM THE DESK OF MS. BRESLER... |

Dear Parents,
Tomorrow afternoon at 2:10 the school will pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet. This will be the last time this Lent that we will pray it as a school family. Everyone is welcome to join us!
Please know that the week after Easter, April 23 is designated as Divine Mercy Sunday and Guardian Angels Church will be saying the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 3PM that afternoon. There is also a Divine Mercy Novena that begins on Good Friday and ends on Divine Mercy Sunday if your family would like to consider praying that together.
Looking toward next week: Our third graders will reenact Our Lord's Passion on Holy Thursday at 9AM. Everyone is welcome to join us.
WEEKLY QUOTE:
Each week the school is focusing on a quote from the Gospel. Our quote this week is:
"I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die."
Of course, we all know that even though we believe in Jesus, our bodies will die. That is a fact of life. Everything living: plants, animals, people will die someday. And when someone we love dies, we are sad and we miss them. But what Jesus is telling us is that when we believe in HIM, we can die and STILL live, because we will live forever with him in heaven. What great news that is. It brings us great joy!
CAR DISMISSAL:
While we are able to stop traffic to allow our car drivers an avenue to enter into the traffic on Mt. Carmel-Tobasco Rd, we still must follow all rules and conventions of the road. Earlier this week, there was an incident when a volunteer fire car, with lights and siren going off, was coming down Mount Carmel-Tobasco Road, while our cars were entering Mt. Carmel-Tobasco Rd. While Mr. Menges tried to stop our traffic flow to allow the car with the siren and flashing lights right of way, (as is the norm) several of our cars did not follow his direction and continued to enter the roadway, causing the volunteer fire car to stop and wait on us. Please be aware that we will follow all protocol of the road and need to know that all drivers must do likewise.

We will be opening the NEWSPAPER to all those that would like to attend.
Our next meeting will be
Friday April 28th from 3:15-4:30 in Mrs. Lovell
's room. Pick up will be by the door with the mailbox.

TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK
"CINCINNATI FAVORITES"
MAY 1st-5th
The Teacher Appreciation Week Committee is in the process of planning this special week for our St. V Teachers. When the time gets closer, each family will be given a schedule of events. Each day, there is a special activity for the teachers. There will also be a few Sign-Up Genius lists created to help with certain areas, for the week.
Right now, we are working on the luncheon. For those of you who are new to the school, we provide an afternoon lunch for all of the teachers. They get to eat together at the same time. My committee always tries to raffle off a few items at the luncheon. Paula Faulhaber has always been a loyal parent and business owner who's donated a basket for this event. Thank you Paula, we appreciate your generosity. We're hoping that maybe a few other families might like to help create raffle items for our teachers. The theme this year is CINCINNATI'S FAVORITES.
We'd love to create several baskets filled with favorite items from Cincinnati. This could include food, favorite locations/events, such as, tickets to the Playhouse in the park, Cincinnati Ballet, CNC, zoo, etc. If your family would like to donate a basket, gift card, food, or any other item (doesn't necessarily have to be Cincinnati related item), please contact me. My name is Julie Biernat and my email address is
[email protected]. I am a parent of an 8th, 6th, and 3rd grader. If you have any questions, feel free to email me too. We have wonderful teachers and our committee loves seeing the joy this week brings to them. Thank you, in advance, for your help with this project.
