SHARE:

It's time for Week 13 of your Winter Share!

We are headed into the final stretch of the share, and we have the ultimate "comfort food bag" headed your way. The days are definitely getting warmer, but that's no excuse not to indulge in some meatloaf, scrambled eggs, pasta, baked oats and much more.

The arrival of spring means that the winter share is almost over (3 share weeks left including this week!) and the Summer Share 2017 is only a few weeks away! If you haven't signed up for summer yet, click here to learn more and secure your spot.

What's in the bag? All the Omnivore Share subscribers will get a huge bag filled with all the fixings for meatloaf: a pound each of our pasture-raised pork and grass-fed ground beef, a half-pint of our house-made ketchup, eggs and oats. You'll also get some frozen blackberries, tomatoes and corn, as well as apples, lettuce, and some turnips or rutabagas.

The Vegetarian Share subscribers will get a quart of Velvet View's plain yogurt as well as a pound of Butternut Linguine from Ohio City Pasta, and a pint of frozen blueberries.

Ohio City Provisions has been nominated for "Best Butcher Shop" by Cleveland Scene Magazine! Click here to check out the contest and cast your ballot by April 11th.

Reminders
STRONGSVILLE - STAY TUNED!

We keep turning up empty handed with locations for our Strongsville stop, but we have a couple plans in the works. We will contact you about where we will be this week.

If you know you'd like to pick up at another stop, same rules apply as the last share week: you can pick up your share at any other location If you want to place a special order, please forward your Special Order confirmation email to info@freshforkmarket.com and let us know where you want to pick up so we can make sure it's loaded on the correct truck.

Sorry for any inconvenience, and we're working hard to secure a new home ASAP!

Please bring back your bags!

You probably got our email yesterday, but we are just about out of share bags. Please bring them back this week!

Featured Products
Savory Ketchup

We have a half-pint of ketchup coming in your bags this week for your meatloaf, but we also have full pints available for sale online.

You can, of course, use it as ketchup,  but it's an amazingly rich and savory sauce that you can use for a bunch of other things, as well. Try it as a substitute for BBQ sauce, add it to a crockpot with a pork roast or chicken breasts for super easy dinner, or try your hand at homemade sloppy joes.

$8 each per pint jar

Specials: Easter Ordering
Ohio City Provisions
Ohio City Provisions Easter Specials

Easter is just over a week away, and Ohio City Provisions has some specials available for the holiday.

Smoked Easter Hams
12 day brine, 24 hours of smoke, and a whole bunch of flavor.
Half or whole hams available, either skin on or skin off.
Whole: range from 18-22 lbs. Half: range from 8-12 lbs. $8/lb.

Rack of Lamb
7 bones per rack (appx 1.5#.) We suggest 3 bones per adult guest. All racks are sold by the whole rack with the bones frenched and the roast tied. $22/lb.

Stuffed Leg of Lamb
The hind leg is deboned down to the shank, then butterflied and seasoned with lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, pepper, rosemary, thyme, and fennel. We roll it and tie it off. The whole leg averages about 3.5#.
To cook, simply sear on all sides over medium high heat and drop uncovered into a 425 degree oven for approximately 40 minutes. The internal temperature should be 120 to 125 degrees. Remove from the oven and allow to rest on a cutting board, tented in foil, for about 20 minutes. Carve and enjoy. $15/lb.

Seasoned Lamb Saddle
Lamb chops or lamb roasts are so little that they aren't easy to eat and are easy to overcook, so we cut lamb differently. When we break it down, we leave both loins and tenderloins together. Then we season with fennel, rosemary, thyme, salt, pepper, and citrus, then roll and tie it.
The tied roast can be cooked similar to the leg roast (see directions above), although it takes less time. Lamb saddles are appx 1.5#, and will feed 3 adults. $22/lb.

Please call (216.465.2762) or email (info@ohiocityprovisions.com) to place your order. All items subject to availability.

Hams are available for pickup Wednesday, April 12 thru Saturday, April 15.

Lamb will be cut and seasoned fresh, so it is only available for pickup on Friday, April 14 and Saturday, April 15.
