Happy National Internship Awareness Month!
All year round, employers mine for gold and seek that ever-elusive 'diamond in the rough', so why stop now? April is National Internship Awareness Month. Founded by Career Edge, it's an initiative recognized by the National Day Calendar to dispel the many myths surrounding internships, and to inform everyone of their benefits.

A simple, traditional, and yet still effective method to uncovering those hidden gems.
Think of it as a low-risk and cost-efficient audition process, available anytime of the year. Internships are a method of discovering overlooked talent, replenishing your staff, and adding value to your team and organization.

As we continue to spotlight our intern success stories, let's not forget the story of Spectra Engineering in 2014. After partnering with Career Edge, the engineering firm struck gold and discovered Ronald Jacinto. Ronald immigrated to Canada with many years of global, professional-level engineering experience. But he struggled to find work and completed a few part-time 'survival' gigs. Then, he secured a Career Edge paid internship.
