Egg
Kevin Henkes
Our cuddly new Jellycat toy (what kind of a bird is that anyway?) is showing off Kevin Henkes' brand new book Egg, a graphic novel for preschoolers. Three colorful eggs hatch into baby birds, but nothing happens to the fourth egg. Will the green egg ever hatch? And what could be in it? A wonderful book that will enchant preschoolers and early readers by telling the story in a blend of short text, wordless pictures and graphic panels.

Our Passover display also has lots of gift suggestions and new books to share!

Dancing Eggs
Or, how about celebrating with a fun family game?
Playing Dancing Eggs guarantees a get-together packed with hilarious action as you compete to collect eggs and points. Don't let your egg drop, whatever you're told to do! Can you hold it under your arm, behind your knee or run around the table, calling out cock-a-doodle do?! Suitable for ages five and up, this is a fun way for the family to play together.
Sale in teachers
Sale in the Teacher Section!

We know teachers' budgets are often tight, so we're delighted to introduce a brand-new Sale section, just for you.

We'll be refreshing the section regularly, but look out for books, both for classroom activities and continuing education, games and workbooks for your students, posters, folders and more!

Find out more about what we do for schools and teachers on our website.

Independent Bookstore Day Book Signing!
Join us on Saturday, April 29th, to celebrate Independent Bookstore Day, a nationwide party for independent bookstores! We've invited several writers to join us, sign books, and chat with you about their own favorites.

Our authors write in a range of genres, from children's picture books to adult non-fiction, so there will be someone for everyone! Writers confirmed so far include Dan Eberhart, author of A Pact with the Living, a Vietnam war novel, Betsy Dornbusch, author of the Seven Eyes fantasy trilogy, which has just concluded with the newly-released Enemy, and the Scheideler sisters, who write and illustrate the fun Chicken Pot Turtle travel series for children.

More information coming in our next newsletter, but in the meantime, mark your calendars for Saturday, April 29th, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.!
